Biscoff Protein Donuts

I recently visited Doughnut Time (a donut shop in London that's been on my foodie hit list for ages!) & had the most incredible Biscoff donut.

I enjoyed it so much I thought i'd have a bash at creating a more diet friendly version so that I could get my Biscoff fix a little more often!

Servings: Makes approx 12 donuts (will vary depending on size of mould/donut maker used)

Macros per donut: 60kcal / 5.5g protein / 5g carbs / 2.2g fat

Ingredients:

For Donut:

40g coconut flour

25g caramel or vanilla protein powder

60g Apple Sauce

80g egg whites

1 tbsp Biscoff Spread

1/2 tsp baking powder

50ml semi-skimmed milk (or other milk of choice)

For Frosting/Topping:

2 tbsp Quark

1 tbsp Biscoff Spread

1 tsp stevia

Crumbled Biscoff Biscuit (optional – to decorate)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 180c (or preheat donut maker as per instructions if using one).

2. Place all ingredients in a blender & mix until thick.

3. Spoon mix into donut maker & cook for 3 minutes. If using a donut mould spray using 1 calorie cooking spray (such as Fry Light Butter Spray) & place in oven for approx 15 minutes.

4. Allow donuts to cool & spoon a blob of frosting onto each one.

5. Decorate with biscuit.

6. Eat!
