Anyone else bored of this cold weather at the moment? This one will warm you up - protein packed salted caramel hot chocolate. (Yes that's right get your hot chocolate fix & smash back 40g of protein at the same time!).
This recipe was put togther by fellow TEAM-BOX nutrition coach & fitness model Stephen Box and is delicious! For those of you dieting (like me at the moment!) who want to take the calorie content down, just use less hot chocolate powder & marshmallows. Or you could just use chocolate protein powder & then add a touch of choc shot & salted caramel extract (available in the baking aisle of most supermarkets). Alternatively (seeing as it's quite a decent portion size) split it with a friend for half the macros and an excuse to have a hot chocolate & a gossip!
Serving Size: Makes 1 large glass/mug
Macros per serving:
383 kcal /39g Protein/45g Carbs/5g fat
20g Whittard’s salted caramel hot chocolate powder (another brand is fine) 20 mini marshmallows 30g chocolate whey protein 200ml skimmed milk Sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions: 1. In a small saucepan simmer the milk on a low heat & keep stirring 2. Add the hot chocolate, protein powder, cinnamon, & half the mini marshmallows - keep stirring 3.When the milk is hot take off the heat and blend everything together (do not let the milk boil - this will make the drink sour!). 4. Pour into your favourite mug & sprinkle on remaining marshmallows.
